Preserve and Protect our History… one block at a time
“We must never forget that Black History is American History. The achievements of African Americans have contributed to our nation’s greatness.” —Yvette Clarke
We live in an unprecedented time when our history is at risk due to natural disaster and cultural circumstances. Onchain History is a revolutionary approach to preserving and sharing our collective past using blockchain technology. It ensures that historical records, personal stories, and cultural heritage are securely stored and accessible for generations to come. The goal of this campaign is to:
Document and celebrate our history, using blockchain to preserve “historical immutability”
Raise awareness and funds to support families in need
- History that can't be erased

Helping Altadena
The devastating Eaton fire of January 2025 ravaged Altadena, destroying over 9,000 structures and claiming at least 17 lives, including 7 Black residents. This catastrophe struck at the heart of a community with a rich African American heritage dating back to the 1960s. Once a beacon of Black prosperity, with 43% of its population African American by 1980, Altadena was known for its high homeownership rates and thriving middle-class neighborhoods.
The fire not only consumed homes but also erased decades of irreplaceable Black history. Treasured collections of music records, fraternity memorabilia, and personal documents chronicling lives of struggle and triumph were reduced to ashes. This loss threatens to erase a vital chapter of African American history in Southern California.
We CAN Protect our history!
However, we can preserve Altadena's legacy through the Onchain History movement. By leveraging blockchain technology, we can create an immutable, transparent record of Altadena's past and present. This innovative approach ensures that the stories, photographs, and cultural heritage of this historic Black community are securely stored and accessible for future generations, safeguarding them against loss and manipulation. Join us in this crucial effort to preserve Altadena's rich history and support its rebuilding process.

We can protect our history by using blockchain to publish a record that has “Historical Immutability”. Simply put, once it’s on the blockchain, it can be referenced by everyone! And it cannot be erased.
